Procurement Vendor Manager

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide full support and management of key areas working closely with the Head of Procurement including:

– Supply Chain Focus – Evolve the supply chain for business continuity, enhancing strategic relations to support all key business verticals, key focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing;
– Driving best value from suppliers, competitive pricing, ensuring key supplier terms and conditions are current, adhering to ISO standards, assertations as required;
– Regular Supplier performance reviews;
– Maintain supplier list and reduce duplicate suppliers, drive tactical and strategic value;
– Manage a proactive Renewals database;
– Support supplier tender processes as and when required, vendor onboarding and the onboarding process;
– Assist the Head of Procurement with any commercial analysis as reasonably required and key trackers;
– Support Centralised Purchasing whilst driving Sales value;
– Support the Head of Procurement with year on year profit and loss cost savings;

Note – This position can be located on the Isle of Man or based in the Manchester area where travel between the two is required.

Skills and Experience required:
– Prior supplier management, procurement role experience key where possible;
– Key communication skills and the ability to improve relations with suppliers etc;
– A dynamic individual who can balance a high work load whilst returning a work ethic;
– Attention to detail is key as is an excellent commercial awareness and commercial capability whilst also being able to demonstrate good analytical capabilities;
– The role will have a varied work pattern. So, someone who is flexible with alternate day to day activities and flexibility;
– 3/5 years with a commercial role is desired but training can be provided;
– Agile, keen to impress and enhance commercial awareness and knowledge;
– 5 GCSE’s Grade A-C to include Maths and English Language.
